The competition is open to various marketing professionals working for cities and counties in eastern Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, and western Riverside and, including:

  • City Marketing Managers

  • Directors of Communications

  • Public Information Officers

  • Community Outreach Coordinators

  • Tourism Marketing Managers

  • Economic Development Marketing managers


What Can You Enter?


The competition includes various categories for different marketing materials and campaigns. Some examples include:


  • Print Advertising: Newspaper and magazine ads, brochures, and annual reports.

  • Out-of-Home and Ambient Media: Billboards, transit advertising, posters, installations, and events.

  • Online/Interactive: Websites, social media campaigns, apps, and online advertising.

  • Film, Video & Sound: Television commercials, radio spots, online videos, and cinema advertising.

  • Cross-Platform: Integrated advertising campaigns across multiple mediums.

  • Public Service: This work may be paid or pro bono, and the goal is to improve the public’s health, education, and welfare.
